I practiced Wado kai for 16 years, in which I have 2nd dan, and now I practice Shito ryu.
2. Why did you start?
I started because my father has his own club and he would like his kids to practice karate. So I started to learn when I was only 4 years old.
3. In your own opinion, what is your most dangerous weapon?
My most dangerous weapon is that I never give up. I think it is more important than any techniques.
4. Have you ever had to use your skills in self defence?
Yes I have used my self-defence skills but thank God it happened only once.
5. Favourite technique and what it achieves when is delivered to an opponent (broken nose…)?
My favourite technique is shuto uchi to the throat. It breaks the trachea and causes drowning.
6. Please explain selfdefence situation. Who, where and how it ended?
I was coming home from a party at midnight. A drunken man came to me and grabbed me from my back. I punched him with my elbow and back-kicked in the balls then he let me go and I gave him 2-3 final punches on his face. He lost his conciousness and fell to the ground. I've gone away immediately then.
7. How many years did you train?
It is my 17th year with practicing.
8. How many hours of training per week?
I have 10-14 hours per week.
9. What other hobbies you have?
I really love to read and write. It is my other passion.
10. Your favourite food?
My favourite food is spaghetti bolognese.
11. Competition success which are for you most valuable?
Wadokai world champion, 5 times Wadokai European Champion and 10 times Wadokai national champion.
12. Any advice or comment you would like to mention for viewer of this article?
I would advice that never give up guys! Whatever you are trying to reach is depending on you! Only you are a border to yourself. If you believe in it, the impossible is possible also!!!
